Go fishing for an amazing Alaskan experience! 

Grab your favorite fly fishing rod and reel, and head out to Tangle Lakes with Outdoor Recreation.

Tangle Lakes is a lake located just 65.8 miles from Glennallen, near Paxson, AK. Whether you're baitcasting or fly fishing, your chances of getting a bite here are good. Tangle Lakes and the Delta River contain grayling, round whitefish, lake trout, burbot, and longnose suckers. 

Fishing Trip: Tangle Lakes

  • July 31 - Register by July 28
  • August 18 - Register by August 13
  • Meeting Time: 8:30 a.m.
  • Location: Outdoor Recreation, Bldg. 627
  • Limited to: Minimum 5 people. Maximum 10 people.
  • The trips are weather dependent.

Additional details:

  • Participants must drive their own vehicles to and from the site (Tangle Lakes). 
  • Outdoor Recreation will provide fishing poles and bait.
  • Please dress accordingly for the weather, and bring water and lunch as this is an all-day event.

$50 - 18 years old and under

  • The trip is open to MWR Eligible Patrons 16 years old and older
  • Payment is due at the time of registration. 

Requirement:

All residents 18 years old or older and non-residents 16 years old or older must possess a fishing license from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
