Allison Point Campground

Thank you for your interest in the Allison Point Campground operated by Fort Greely Family and MWR! 

  • The 2024 Season opens on May 24 and closes on September 2.

  • All Campsites will be available on a First-Come, First-Served basis.

We're excited to welcome you all back to our Campground, and we're looking forward to a great 2024 camping season!

Amenities

This popular fishing area provides 49 sites for RV's and Tents.  

  • Fire Rings on Sites 1-5
  • Public Restrooms Facilities
  • 4 Improved Trails to the Water Edge
  • Some of the best shore fishing Alaska has to offer.
    • Fishing for King (Chinook) Salmon: Late May through early July.
    • Fishing for Pink (Humpy) Salmon: Mid-June through late July. 
    • Fishing for Silver (Coho) Salmon: Mid-July through late August. 

There are no electrical or sewage hook-ups on site. Dump stations are located in town at the local convenience store/gas station, and at Valdez Glacier Campground.  

Rate

Allison Point Campers must submit payment in the drop-box located at the Campground.

  • Civilians: $20.00 per night - per lot.
  • Military Discount: $15.00 per night - per lot.
    • Valid to Active Duty, Retirees and Veterans.
    • Must present proof of military service upon check-in.
  • There is no charge for parking in the day-use area.

Campground rules

  • Check in is at 12 p.m. - Check out is at 10 a.m.
  • Speed limit 5 miles per hour. 
  • Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
  • All animals need to be on a leash or in a vehicle, no excessive barking. Please pick up after your pets. 
  • No fires allowed in the Day-use parking areas. 
  • No fish cleaning is permitted at the campground, clean down on the beach and dispose of fish waste in the water.
  • Please do not burn trash or aluminum cans. Bear resistant dumpsters are available for use.
  • Please don’t leave a dirty site for the next campers. 
  • Be aware of waste, this is a high bear traffic area.
