Indoor Swimming Pool

The Sports, Fitness & Aquatics Center is home to an Indoor Swimming Pool complete with swimming lanes and a diving board. Swimming equipment is available, and certified lifeguards closely monitor the pool. 

A variety of aquatic programs are offered for all ages including but not limited to:

  • Aquatics Training Program
  • Recreational Swimming
  • Lap Swim and Open Swim Hours

All patrons must enter the main lobby of the Sports & Fitness Center and present a valid DoD ID.

Admission Fees Policy

Active Duty Military (to include National Guard): Free

  • Patrons that don't have a valid DoD ID at the moment of check-in will be required to pay the General Admission fee.

  • Ages 0-4 Years Old: Free
  • Ages 5 and older: $3

  • Includes: Military Dependents, Reserve Component, Retired Military, DOD Civilians, FGA Contractors, Veterans, Non-Military Family Members

Recreational Swimming

Provides Soldiers, DA civilians, Family members, and retirees demand-driven activities and services that promote fitness and recreation and build life skills, such as:

  • adult/child learn to swim
  • aerobic activities
  • leisure and competitive swimming
  • lifeguard training
  • water safety instruction 
Aquatics Training Program

Aquatic Training Facilities are a vital component of mission readiness. Army Aquatic Training Programs are required to provide unit water survival training, enhance Soldier swimming skills, and support the military community's general health. The Army emphasizes the importance of high levels of physical capability for the occupational tasks that Soldiers are required to perform.

Pool Rules & Water Safety Information

Respect your fellow pool patrons.

  • Showers must be taken before entering the pool area.
  • No food or drinks in the pool area.
  • No gum allowed in or around the pool area.
  • No diving in shallow end.
  • No backwards diving off side of pool.
  • No cut-off shorts. Males must have swimming trunks with a liner and string and females must have on both a top and a bottom.
  • No horseplay - Dunking, wrestling, pushing, throwing, etc.
  • No hanging, climbing, or sitting on shoulders.
  • Life Jackets must be U.S. Coast Guard approved. Life Jackets are not allowed in the deep end unless with instructor or lifeguard.
  • Parents must be in the pool area if their child is under the age of 15.
  • Parents must stay within an arm's length with their child while in pool.
  • No running.
  • No profanity may be used in the pool area.
  • No coins may be thrown in the pool for diving purposes.
  • No hanging on lane ropes.
  • No playing on or around ladders.
  • No talking to lifeguards while on duty. If necessary, keep conversation brief.
  • Lifeguards on duty are in charge and may take disciplinary action on anyone ignoring or disobeying the rules.
  • Swimmers get one warning, if a third warning is issued, they can be suspended from the use of the pool.
  • Anyone asked to leave the pool for disciplinary reasons does not get a refund.
  • No pets allowed in the pool area.
  • Children not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper.

 

Lap Lane

  • 2 swimmers per lap lane.
  • If 2 or more swimmers are in a lane utilize circle swim by staying to the right.
  • Stay to the right of the lane except to pass
  • If needed designated lanes for fast or slow swimmers will be established.
  • When resting in a lap lane, stay to the sides and corners of the lane.
  • Rafts and large inflatable toys are not allowed in lap lanes.
  • Do not hang on lane ropes.
  • Exit lane for longer breaks.
