Summer Lifeguard Course

Learn how to respond safely and efficiently to water emergencies with the lifeguard course from the American Red Cross.

Youth and Adult 16 years and up

Participants must be able to pass a swim pre-test of 300 yards continuously with rhythmic breathing, swim correct front crawl and breaststroke. Tread water 2 minutes using only legs, hands in armpits. Complete in 1 minute 40 seconds 20 yard swim, surface dive to 7 to 10 foot depth, retrieve 10 pound object, swim 20 yards without arms, holding object with both hands to starting  point. Exit pool without the use of ladder or steps.

Fee must be paid at the time of past pre-test.
