Note: This event has already passed.

Developed for older teens (14+) and adults, the Learn to Swim Program gives adult swimmers at every level the opportunity to improve their skills in a safe environment – and under the guidance of a trained instructor.

The program allows swimmers to progress at their own pace, mastering one set of skills before moving on to the next. Swimming lessons for adults are available in the following three levels, developed to meet the needs of adult learners:

  1. Beginners - Learning the Basics:
    • For non-swimmers, fearfulness and basic swimming skills.
    • Earn basic swimming strokes and skills needed to stay safe, and help keep others safe in and around the water.
  2. Intermediates - Improving Skills and Swimming Strokes:
    • For swimmers that have completed the beginning course, stroke improvement and technique.
    • Participants will gain proficiency in basic aquatic skills and the six basic swimming strokes.
  3. Advanced - Swimming for Fitness:
    • For swimmers that are preparing for competition, stroke efficiency, conditioning workouts and drills.
    • Participants will learn to refine their front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke and turns to build endurance.
