Get Certified! Completing a course is essential for first-time riders.

Join Outdoor Recreation for a snowmachine safety course and winter hazards orientation for beginners-level riders.

The Snowmachine Safety Course Level 1 is our certification course required to rent machines for personal use or participate in our guided trips. This safety course involves the perfect mixture of safety orientation and riding to empower you to navigate trails.

The course will introduce participants to wearing proper winter gear and the basic operation of a snowmachine. The orientation will also cover basic safety while operating the snowmachine and adequate maintenance. The practical portion of the course will include a short trail ride around the Fort Greely installation along with a small hill course.
