Join us for Spring Fling 2021!

It's that time of the year again! The Annual Spring Fling is back and it promises to be a day full of fun at Quartz Lake. We look forward to seeing you during our Spring Fling! Event is open to all MWR Eligible Patrons.

Mark your calendars!

• Date: March 20, 2021
• Time: 10:45 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Location: Quartz Lake State Recreation Area
• Registration for each event is required.

Event features:

• Relay Race 
  • For registration and Race Rules, please call the Aurora CAC at +1(907)873-4782.
• Ice Fishing Derby
  • For registration and Derby Rules, please call Outdoor Recreation at +1(907)873-4058.
• Snow Machine Ride - Guided trip under low-risk conditions and includes a riding tutorial to get you started.
  • All Ages with Legal Guardian
  • Ages 16 years and older to ride SOLO on a snow machine.
  • Two-up guided machines for Adults with Children (please check for availability).

COVID-19 Protocol:

• Safety Measure in Place.
• Event is limited to 50-people.
• Participants must drive their own vehicles to the Meeting Point at Quartz Lake.
• Practice Social Distancing ​​​
• Don't forget your Mask 
  • Wear a mask or cloth face-covering when you are not able to keep 6 feet of social distancing. 

Requirements

• An Alaska State Fishing License

• Outdoor Recreation will provide Ice Fishing Equipment (fishing poles and bait, ice augers), and the know-how to get you started.

*Weather Permitting - Event is subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.
