Michael Creek Hiking Trip
This hike starts on an unmaintained trail beside Michael Creek, which leads up through the brush to a wide open alpine slope. A solid hike up the slope involving some easy scrambling will bring you to the base of an imposing rock outcropping, where most groups on a half-day tour will turn around. The route immediately becomes difficult as you traverse past the rock outcropping and encounter a series of challenging obstacles along the ridge while following a well-worn sheep trail.
- Distance: 2 miles round trip to the alpine
- Elevation gain: 1000 feet
- Trail type: Hiking
- Considerations: Somewhat overgrown and indistinct path
-
Difficulty: Moderate/Difficult
