April 2017 • Month of the Military Child
For the last 30 years, the Department of Defense has recognized military children during the month of April. Because of their service, commitment and sacrifice to supporting the Army’s mission, it is important to honor and celebrate our military’s youngest heroes.
Month of the Military Child is an opportunity to remember children’s roles in strengthening the military Family. This year’s theme is Military Kids: At Home Across the World!
During the month of April, Fort Greely Family and MWR will host various events and activities to celebrate and demonstrate how proud we are of their contributions.
- Young Lives, BIG Stories Contest
- MOMC • Festival
- MOMC • Let's make a Quilt!
- MOMC • Kids Dinner & Bowl
- MOMC • CDC Family Lunch
- MOMC • Operation Megaphone - World Wide Lock In
Stay tuned with us for the Month of the Military Child Calendar, a full list of events taking place throughout the month.
